This blog post highlights the significance of the event, exploring the intentions and desire behind sharing this knowledge with the global community and the YouthMappers chapters within the network.



The Birth of a Transformational Initiative

The YouthMappers community is a global network of students who are passionate about mapping and geospatial technologies. Their vision involves empowering young people to create resilient communities and contribute to global development. With chapters spanning across various countries, their network has become a hub for skill-building, project collaborations, and the dissemination of mapping knowledge.



The Organizing Committee’s Intentions

The organizers of the extended YouthMappers Summit in Uganda envisioned a platform where young mappers from around the globe could converge and engage in meaningful exchanges.
